Norma Jean Cecil, 81, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Life Care Center of Bardstown. She was born Sept. 1, 1934, in Leslie County. She was a homemaker and a member of Homemakers of Nelson County. She was of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cecil; one daughter, LaDonna Thompson; and her parents, Charles and Ethel McMahan.
She is survived by one daughter, Rhea (Dale) Cissell of Bardstown; two sons, Michael (Gina) Cecil of Campbellsville, and Darryl (Vicki) Cecil of Bardstown; eight grandchildren, Heather Cecil, Chris Cecil, Joe Thompson, Justin Cecil, Rhea Cecil, Brandy Kelly, Jarrett Cundiff, and Patrick Cundiff; and 18 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, at the Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington. Bro. Luke Armour O.C.S.O. a Trappist Monk of Gethsemani, will officiate.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016, and 9-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
