Phillip G. Grubbs, 61, of Bloomfield, died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. 
He was born June 2, 1952, in Spencer County. He was a retired employee for Nelson County Board of Education.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Elizabeth Grubbs; and one brother, Junior Grubbs.
He is survived by his faithful wife of 40 years, Loretta Grubbs; five children, Shannon Young, Kelly Anderson, Brandon Grubbs, Nathan Grubbs, and Jessica Grubbs, all of Bloomfield; five brothers, David Grubbs, Billy Grubbs, Johnny Grubbs, Dennis Grubbs, and Ricky Grubbs; and six grandchildren.
The funeral is 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Barlow Funeral Home.
Visitation is 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go toward the service of Phillip G. Grubbs.
