Obituary: Phyllis Ann Kincer Everidge, 85

Phyllis Ann Kincer Everidge, 85, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin.

PHYLLIS ANN CINCER EVERIDGE

She was born Dec. 7, 1940, to Otis and Gladys Stidham Kincer. She was a member of Valley Creek Baptist Church of Elizabethtown.

She was a retired teacher of 30 years in the Jefferson County Public Schools. She loved working in her garden, painting, sewing and a lot of time in the pumpkin patch. No one could out pick her. She greatly enjoyed going to yard sales. Being a grandmother was her most cherished role in life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Earl Everidge; and one nephew, Danny Ray Kincer.

She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda (Doug) Wilhite of St George Island, Fla., and Rebecca “Becky” (Eric) Wilmoth of Hodgenville; one brother, Malcolm Kincer of Whitesburg; and one sister-in-law, Betty Lou Kincer; and four grandsons, Eric Trenton (Michelle) Wilmoth, Levi Chase Wilmoth and Wade Lucas Wilmoth, all of Kentucky, and Carl Douglas Wilhite of Florida.

The funeral is noon Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at Valley Creek Baptist Church in Elizabethtown with Bro. Scott Kerr officiating. Burial is in the Valley Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at Valley Creek Baptist Church in Elizabethtown.

The William R. Rust Funeral home Hodgenville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
