Obituary: Rev. Kelly Denise Vinson-Riggs, 55, Magnolia

Rev. Kelly Denise Vinson-Riggs, 55, of Magnolia, died Thursday, July 4, 2019, at University Hospital in Louisville. She was pastor of River of Life Gospel Church in Hodgenville. She was a graduate of West Hardin High School. She was born Dec. 26, 1963 to Carroll Vinson and the late Maoma Riggs Vinson.

She was precded in death by her mother, Maoma Riggs Vinson; and one brother, Edward Vinson.

She is survived by her husband, Ricky Joe Riggs of Magnolia; two daughters, Kellise Carolann Hoefer of Cecilia and Keri (Tim) Genteralo of Radcliff; three sons, Reade Edward Brian Hoefer of Cecilia, Jason (Marlena) Burkhead of Elizabethtown and Kris (Staci) Riggs of Elizabethtown; her father, Carroll Vinson of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Elizabeth Vinson and Carolyn (Kenny) Preston, both of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Joey (Aleisha) Vinson of White Mills, and Brian (Dorothy) Vinson of Brooklyn, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2019, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel, 612 N. Lincoln Blvd., Hodgenville, with the Rev. Frank Sellinger and the Rev. Sharon Sellinger officiating. Burial is in the Sonora Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2019, and 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2019, at the funeral home.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
