Robert E. “Bob” Rowlett, 83, of Bardstown, formerly of New Haven, died at his home surrounded by his family Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025. He was a retired employee of Caldwell Tank, an avid golfer, a longtime member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a current member of the Basilica of Saint Joseph Proto-Cathedral, and a active member of the Knights of Columbus, Bardstown Council 1290, where he was a member of the honor guard, recorder for the third degree, and faithful navigator for the fourth degree.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earnest and Mary Beatrice Rowlett; and one sister, Brenda Rowlett.
He survived by his loving wife, Cathy-gene; two daughters,, Rob-ann Mattingly (Bruce) and Stephaney Ackermann (Mark); on son, William “Bill” Rowlett; two sisters, Bonnie Boyd and Connie Mattingly; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, at St. Catherine Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, and after 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 20256, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with a 7 p.m. prayer vigil Wednesday at the funeral home.
