Later she married the loved of her life, T.T. “Bud” Etheredge. She loved raising her children in beautiful historic Bardstown where she enjoyed bridge, gardening, scrabble, travel, and volunteering at Flaget Hospital. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Preceding her in death were her brother, Robert D. Guthrie; one niece, Shelley Guthrie Edelen; one son-in-law, J. Greg Haydon; and her beloved grandson, Michael Etheredge.

Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte Sampite Etheredge Moffitt (Joe) of Springfield; two sons, David Etheredge (Patti) and Mark Etheredge, both of Bardstown; two sisters, Mary Conley of Bardstown and Mildred Downing of Bowling Green; two brothers, John Berry Guthrie and William L. Guthrie, both of Florida; three grandchildren, Sally Valenzuela, Maggie Revelette and Theron Etheredge; and three great-grandchildren, Carmen, Camille, and Nolan.

The family would like to express a special thanks to her neighbors, Wes and Pierce Parrish, Peggy Hill, and the staff at Colonial Nursing Home.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Rd., with Bro. John Sanderson officiating.

Visitation is 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to the Tom McKay Center or a charity of the donor’s choice.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
