Samuel David Case, 70, of Bloomfield, died Sunday, May 24, 2015, at his home. He was born Nov. 28, 1944, to the late Sam and Mattie Baker Case. He was a retired employee of Boone Box Company, a former employee of Cave Hill Cemetery, and a member of the Bloomfield Church of God.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Pauline Hardin; two brothers, Theodore Case and Rome Gardia Case; and one stepson, Roger Burton.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Heckel Case; one daughter, Sandy (Ronnie) Garwood of Shelbyville; one son, David (Anita) Case of Lawrenceburg; three sisters, Christine Thompson of Willisburg, Ruthie Case of Bloomfield and Judy Lewis of Louisville; five brothers, Roy Lee Case, Paul (Kathy) Case, Danny Case, Orville Case, and Edgar (Sue) Case, all of Bloomfield; and six grandchildren.
The funeral is 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at the Bloomfield Church of God with Bro. Tim VanHook officiating. Burial is in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.Wednesday, May 27 at the church.
The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
