Sandra Coyle Owen, 67, of Lebanon, died at her home Monday, Sept. 22, 2014. She was born Oct. 14, 1946, in Springfield. 
She was a graduate of Springfield High School and Western Kentucky University. She taught in the Marion County School System from 1969 to 2014, devoting much of her time to the teen parenting program and working with special needs children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Garnett and Mildred Coyle.
Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Jackie Elias Owen; one daughter, Lynn (Jim) Tencza; one brother, Gary (Sue) Coyle, three grandchildren, Zack Tencza, Jack Tencza and Nate Tencza; several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nephews and nieces all of whom brought her great joy.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon celebrated by Father Alexis Kouri. Burial is in Beech Grove Cemetery in Springfield.
Visitation is 8:30-11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014.
