Sandra “Sue” Akridge, 69, of Cox’s Creek, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. She was born Nov. 11,1945, to Charles and Magdalene Ward in Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
She is survived by her husband of more than 47 years, Kenneth Akridge; one daughter, Michelle (Gary) Satler; two sons, Kenneth (Robin) Akridge, Jr. and Darrell (LaDonna) Akridge; one sister, Sharon (Bobby) McGeorge; one brother, Wallace Ward; and six grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service is 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven funeral home, 4400 Bardstown Rd. in Louisville. Burial is in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015, at the funeral home. from 2pm to 8pm.
