Shunita Diane Livers, age 56, was born Oct. 13, 1969 to John Ed and Laura Reed in Bardstown, Kentucky. She departed this life on Aug. 25, 2026 at Signature Healthcare at North Hardin in Radcliff, Kentucky after a long illness.


Shunita was a member of First Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Michael N. Smith. She was a faithful member and loved her church family. When she was well she attended Sunday school under First Lady Betty Smith. She also helped out with vacation bible school and with the youth. Shunita belonged to the Women’s Ministry and she loved working at the African-American Heritage Museum.
Shunita was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She leaves to mourn her passing a husband, Michael Livers of 19 years; a son, Justin Lee Reed; a daughter, Lauren Nicole Reed; her parents, John and Laura Reed along with her one and only sister, Tonya Green (Phillip); three grandchildren, LaNaya Reed, BrayLee Reed, and Tykeem Williams all of Bardstown, Kentucky; one niece Caprisha Laurent (Jean) of Louisville, Kentucky; a host of relatives and some very close friends.
Shunita’s funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026 at First Baptist Church with burial in Bardstown Cemetery. Pastor Michael N. Smith will officiate.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026 at First Baptist Church.
