Obituary: Tonya Lanae Maddox, 45, Bardstown

Tonya Lanae Maddox, 45, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 2, 1974, in Bardstown. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Elizabeth Maddox; and one brother, Tyrone Maddox.

She is survived by one son, Tyran Maddox of Bardstown; her father and stepmother, William Clyde and Mary Carol Maddox Sr. of Bardstown; one sister, Angela Maddox of Bardstown; two brothers, Tony Tonge of Lebanon and William Clyde Maddox Jr. of Bardstown; six nieces, Leasia Linton, Chyenne Maddox, Diamond Johnson, Patrice Tonge, Jasimine Smith and Gabrille Browning; 10 nephews, Takaius Linton, Labrison Maddox, LaBrent Maddox, Marcus Maddox, Derrick Maddox, Patrick Ridgeway, Kalan Williams, Ivan McPorter, Derrick Tonge and Anthony Tonge; four aunts, Mary Schoolin (Ray), Janet Tonge, Cheryl Johnson (Paul), and Catherine Tonge; three uncles, Robert Maddox (Peggy), Joe Charles Tonge (Frances), and Hubert Lee Maddox (Winifred); one great-grandfather, Hubert Maddox; and her fiance’, George Walker.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael N. Smith officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, and 9-10:15 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to a scholarship fund for her son, Tyran Maddox.
