

Vera Dell Hart, 77, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Signature Health Care at Colonial. She was born Feb., 23, 1941, in Okemah, Okla. She was a homemaker, a member of First Christian Church (D.O.C.) in Bardstown, a member of the Eastern Star and past Worthy Matron. She was former president of the VFW and DAV, a secretary of the AARP, a member of the Daughter of the Nile, White Shrine, and White Cane, a driver for the DAV, and president of the CWF in Shenandoah, Va.
She was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Dewayne Watts; and her parents, Everett Vernon Herd and Dallas Walker.
She is survived by her husband, Don F. Hart; her first husband, Cecil J. Watts; one daughter, Della Rene’ Post; two sons, C. “Jim” Watts Jr. and Joseph Patrick Watts; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
There will no services. Cremation was chosen.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
