Vickie Lynn Goodlett, 63, of Taylorsville, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, at her home. She was born May 24, 1953, in Louisville to J.W. and Grace Holt Byrd. She was a homemaker and a member of the Open Door Christian Center.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Holt Byrd; one sister, Karen Byrd; and a brother, David Ray Byrd.
She is survived by her husband, Evan Raphel Goodlett Sr., one daughter, Tamitha Lynn Goodlett of Chaplin; three sons, Evan Raphel Goodlett Jr., Jeremy David Goodlett and Aaron Wesley Goodlett, all of Taylorsville; a son they raised, Brian Luttrell; her father, J.W. Byrd of Willisburg; four sisters, Cathy Byrd of Taylorsville, Connie Motley of Owensboro, Pam Robinett of Leitchfield and Sandra Luttrell of Louisville; two brothers, Eddie Byrd of Taylorsville and Jerry Lutrell of Louisville; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, at the Open Door Christian Center with the Rev. Mavis Bennett officiating. Burial is in the Little Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield, and 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday at the church.
