Willana Cox, 92, of Bloomfield, passed away, Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026, at Bradford Square Nursing in Frankfort, Kentucky. She was born Feb. 2, 1934, in Bloomfield to the late John Willie and Sarah Elizabeth Hahn Barnes.
She was a retired employee of Texas Instruments with 42 years of service. Willana was a former member of the Bloomfield Senior Citizens. She also was a member of Fair Mount Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school for 25 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Cox, and a daughter, Shelia Maxberry.
Willana is survived by her son, Michael (Stephenie) Hood of Lawrenceburg, three grandchildren, Leland Hood, Chasity Gates, and Leslie Burkhead, eight great grandchildren along with one great great grandchild also survives.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Willana Cox will be Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Bro. Kurt Nelson officiating. Interment will be in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and will resume Friday after 9 a.m. until time of funeral service.
