Zackary Ray “Zack” Martinez, 25, of Bardstown, died Thursday, April 7, 2016, at University Hospital in Louisville. He was born Nov. 27, 1990, at Fort Knox. He was a 2009 graduate of Nelson County High School and a member of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jimmie Taylor.
He is survived by one son, Kane Seward-Martinez; his parents, Robert “Marty” and Lisa Martinez; three brothers, Tyler Martinez, Austin Martinez, and Gabe Martinez, all of Bardstown; his maternal grandmother, Surean Taylor of Cox’s Creek; his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Hope Martinez of Hereford, Texas; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, with Bro. Bruce Nichols officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016, and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
