Tuesday, May 8, 2018 — A 37-year-old resident of Old Nazareth Road was allegedly stabbed twice and cut by a man who broke into her home Monday afternoon at about 2:20 p.m.
Nelson County Dispatch alerted Bardstown Police, the Bardstown Fire Department, Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office that a woman reported that an unknown male subject had just forced his way into her home, and stabbed her twice in the abdomen and cut her once on the neck.
Initial reports described the perpetrator as an adult male with an unnaturally colored beard who apparently fled on foot in an unknown direction. City police and sheriff’s deputies canvassed the area searching for a suspect.
The victim was treated at the scene by EMTs and then transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
