Richard Allen Wilson, Sr., 59, beloved husband and father, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011, at University of Louisville Hospital.
He was born February 4, 1952. He was a resident of Bardstown and a native of Greeneville, Tenn. He attended the Air Force Academy, was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Masters Degree, retired from Phillips Consumers Electronics and from General Electric where was a chemical and environmental engineer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Louis and Elva Wilson and one sister, Linda Jo Street.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sara Wilson of Bardstown; one son, Rich Wilson of St. Louis, Missouri; one daughter, Brandee Wilson of Bardstown; three grandchildren, Abbie and Lucas Bendock of Bardstown and Madison Davis of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister, Kathy Parham of Kingsport, Tenn.; one special son-in-law, Joe Bendock of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Barlow Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Stith officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Barlow Funeral Home.
