Robert Thorpe, Jr., 76, of Bardstown died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. He was born May 15, 1935, in Wilmington, S.C. He was a self-employed petroleum engineer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Vera Thorpe; and one brother, Jack Lincoln Thorpe.
He is survived by his companion, Ronda Ehrich of Bardstown; three daughters, Fatima Walsh of South Carolina, Katrina Barta of Texas, and Gina Zimmer of Maryland; two sons, Robert Edward Thorpe, III, of Kentucky and Jack Thorpe of Raleigh, N.C.; and nine grandchildren.
There will be no service.
