Sharon McCubbins McGee, 36, Bardstown

Sharon McCubbins McGee, 36, of Bardstown, died Monday Oct. 3, 2011, at her home. She was born April 9, 1975, in Bardstown. She was an employee of Publishers Printing; a volunteer and member of St. Gregory Catholic Church; and an avid UK fan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Merrill McCubbins; a sister, Gail Wimsett; and a brother, Michael McCubbins.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck McGee; three children, Courtney McGee, Sammy McGee, and Abby McGee; seven sisters, Brenda Johnson all of Bardstown, Regina Greenwell of Cox’s Creek, Sandy Downs of Bloomfield, Margaret Downs of Bardstown, Angie Hahn of Bloomfield, Martha Downs and Jenny Miles both of Bardstown; four brothers, John McCubbins, Jeff McCubbins, Eddie McCubbins, and Derrick McCubbins all of Bardstown; her mother, Rita McCubbins; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.  The Rev. John Schwartzlose will officiate.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Barlow Funeral Home.  A prayer service will be held Wednesday evening.
