Wednesday, May 13, 2015, 2 a.m. — A 14-year-old Cox’s Creek boy was injured Tuesday evening when 
he accidentally shot himself with a .22 rifle. Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded at 7:32 p.m. for an accidental shooting in the 1800 block of Whitesides Road. The reportedly youth suffered a wound to the abdomen. He was transported by EMS to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville.
Deputy L. Preston is investigating the incident.
