Sunday, May 22, 2016, 10 p.m. — The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that happened late Friday night at a residence on Lyddane Lane off Fairfield Road in the Cox’s Creek area.
Nelson County EMS and police were dispatched at 11:44 p.m. Friday night for a shooting incident that resulted from an apparent altercation at a Lyddane Lane home. The altercation is believed to have involved the shooting victim, who was described as a male victim in his 20s, and a male teenager. Witnesses told police the male victim was believed to have been shot in the knee and the abdomen.
The shooting victim was transported directly from the scene by EMS to University Hospital in Louisville for evaluation and treatment of his injuries. EMS transported the male teenager from the scene to Flaget Memorial Hospital with complaints of neck, shoulder and right side pain.
The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office’s investigation is ongoing.
