Sign and co-sign: Tea party members show support for their favorite candidates

STAFF REPORT

Friday, April 29, 2011, 6 p.m. — Nelson County conservatives showed up Friday afternoon at the intersection of KY 245 and US31E for a “sign wave” to show support for their favorite candidates.

The event was organized by Alan Brown Jr., a former city council candidate. In the photo at right, Brown, holding the yellow “Don’t Tread On Me Shirt” talks to another event participant while holding a sign in support of John Kemper, a candidate for state auditor. Signs supporting Phil Moffett as candidate in the GOP gubernatorial primary were also displayed.
