Thelma Louise Burge, 88, Louisville

Thelma Louise Burge, 88, of Louisville, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.

She was a native of Chaplin, the former Thelma Louise Duncan and a homemaker. She was a retired employee from General Electric as a production worker and a member of Mount Washington United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Eula Frances Yocum Duncan; her husband John Robert “J.R.” Burge; a son, Ronald Burge; four brothers, Bill, Orville “Bucky”, Eugene and Freddie Duncan; and three sisters, Mary Jo Huston, Mildred Thomas and Jenny Stewart.

Survivors include one son, Roger Burge and his wife Eileen of Midway;

one sister, Norma Sils and her husband Ted of Louisville;

and two grandchildren, Courtney and Jane Ann Burge.

The funera is 4 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial is in Highview Cemetery with Brother Bill Greer officiating.

Visitation is 1-4 p.m. Thursday, march 15, 2012, at the Houghlin Funeral Home.
