Thursday, June 4, 2015, 1 a.m. — The Bardstown City Council working session on Tuesday, June 2, 2015. Human resources consultant Paul Comb presented a revamped version of the city’s classification and compensation plan to the council. The council further discussed the proposed 2015-16 budget and the mechanism to fund the additional revenue to fund a fulltime fire department.Discussion focused on the plan to add seven fulltime firefighters to create the city’s first fulltime 24/7 fire department, and to fund the additional equipment needed with the pending separation of the city fire department and the Bardstown-Nelson County Volunteer Fire Department Inc.
