Tuesday, April 18, 2017 – The Bardstown City Council chose Councilman Dick Heaton to serve as mayor for the unexpired term of former Mayor John Royalty. The council voted unanimously for Heaton at a special council meeting Tuesday, April 18, 2017. Heaton told the audience to have patience while the council works to turn the city around and makes positive changes. Running time: About 14 minutes.
