Friday, May 27, 2016, 3 p.m. – The Bardstown City Council’s Safety Committee met Monday evening, May 23, 2016, to discuss a 911 dispatching proposal from the Kentucky State Police verses continued participation in the joint city-county dispatch center. Bardstown Fire Chief Randy Walker also talked with the committee regarding the fire department’s request for a pumper truck in the 2016-17 budget, and the need for a new emergency services building to house the city’s fire and police departments. Councilman Bill Buckman is committee chairman.
