Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, 11:15 a.m. — With all eyes on the race for U.S. Senate in Kentucky, national media will visiting 
Graves County Saturday for the Fancy Farm picnic, Kentucky’s annual political event signaling the unofficial start of the fall campaign season.
You can catch the political speaking live on Bardstown’s Hometown Radio, WBRT AM/FM, beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Emcee duties at this year’s event will be handled by Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Bill Cunningham of Lyon County.
In addition to Sen. Mitch McConnell and his Democratic opponent Alison Lundergan Grimes, the speakers list includes Sen. Rand Paul, Gov. Steve Beshear, Lt. Gov. Jerry Abramson, Attorney General Jack Conway, Agriculture Commissioner James Comer, Auditor Adam Edelen and Treasurer Todd Hollenbach Jr.
The speakers are limited to candidates and current constitutional officers.
