Woman indicted for forgery, fraudulent use of state park’s credit card

Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, 9 p.m. — A Bardstown woman was indicted Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, for fraudulent use of a state-issued credit card assigned to My Old Kentucky Home State Park.

Samantha Marie Curci, 23, was charged in the indictment with one count of the fraudulent use of a credit card and five counts of second-degree forgery.

According to the indictment, between Aug. 5 and Aug. 7, 2013, Curci used the state park’s credit card without authorization and forged Park Manager Alice Heaton’s signature five times to obtain money in an amount greater than $500 but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

Curci is scheduled for arraignment 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013.

The incident was investigated by Detective Aaron Gabhart with Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown.
