Woman transported to Flaget after suffering burns from hot cooking oil

Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, 11:15 p.m. — A 40-year-old New Haven woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday evening after she dropped a container of hot cooking oil and suffered burns to her hands. Nelson County EMS was called about 5:28 p.m. Tuesday to the 500 block of Park Avenue to transport the woman to Flaget Memorial Hospital. The woman told first responders she suffered burns to both hands after she dropped the oil and it splashed on her hands.
