Obituary: Estelle Raikes Benningfield, 98, of Lebanon

ESTELLE RAIKES BENNINGFIELD

Estelle Raikes Benningfield, 98, of Lebanon, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at the Cedars of Lebanon Nursing Home. She was born June 21, 1915, to the late Perry and Laura Albertson Raikes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Damien Benningfield; two daughters, Colleen Benningfield and Lois Williams; one son, Greg Benningfield; three sisters, Flossie Sample, Artie Taylor, and Nancy Raikes; and four brothers, Claude, Gene, Johnny, and Gilbert Raikes.

She is survived by three daughters, Alice Januski and Regina Buckman both of Lebanon and Paula Miles of Raywick; five sons, Lynn Benningfield, Bill Benningfield, and Bernard Benningfield all of Lebanon, Joe Benningfield of St. Joe, and Damien Benningfield of Shepherdsville; one sister, Juanita Payne of Ohio;
28 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host relatives and friends.

The funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at the Our Lady of the Hills Church in Finley with burial in the church cemetery.

Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
