Monday, May 7, 2018 — A ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of the Carrollton bus crash — in which 27 people died in the nation’s deadliest drunk driving accident — will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018, in the gym at North Hardin High School in Radcliff.
On May 14, 1988, a church bus full of children and adults returning from Kings Island amusement park near Cincinnati was struck head-on by a drunk driver who entered the interstate going the wrong way.
Saturday’s event is being organized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving, in honor of the victims — 24 children and three adults, as well as more than 40 who survived, many with severe wounds.
