Community Clinic to host Medicare seminar Sept. 17th at public library

Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026 — The Nelson County Community Clinic will hold a free educational seminar concerning Medicare 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17,, 2026 at the Nelson County Public Library, 201 Cathedral Manor in Bardstown.

Becky Johnson with the Community Clinic will be the presenter. The clinic works closely with the Lincoln Trail Area Development District.

Becky will speak on the recent changes to Medicare, and she will discuss the importance of receiving accurate information from the correct sources when enrolling in Medicare.

Choosing the wrong Medicare program or missing the 7-month window when becoming eligible for Medicare at age 65 can have a catastrophic consequence on the ability to obtain affordable, quality healthcare coverage.

Open Enrollment and the importance of reviewing your Medicare Part D or Advantage Plan annually will also be discussed. All these topics and more will be covered at this free seminar.
