Great weather expected as classic cars hit Bloomfield, Bardstown Friday & Sunday

Thursday, Aug. 19, 2026 — This weekend promises to be a real treat to local classic car enthusiasts. There’s no admission for classic car owners who participate, and there’s no admission fee for either event — and both events are notably family friendly affairs.

DEPOT STREET CAR SHOW. On Friday evening, the City of Bloomfield again hosts the monthly Depot Street Car Show starting at 5 p.m. to about 9 p.m. The even draws classic car enthusiasts and classic cars ranging from the 1920s to the latest factory muscle cars fresh from Detroit and foreign shores as well.

Classic cars typically fill both sides of Depot Street, from Fairfield Hill Road down to Perry Street and the Bloomfield City Hall and fire station.

WHISKEY CITY CRUISERS THIS SUNDAY. From noon to 6 p.m. this Sunday, the local Whiskey City Cruisers will hold their monthly cruise in the parking lot of Buzick Lumber and Home Center, 1330 East John Rowan.

The event attracts dozens of hot rods, classic cars and vintage muscle cars each month from all over Central Kentucky. Bring the family and enjoy what is expected to be a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon enjoying browsing classic and vintage cars.

GREAT WEATHER EXPECTED! The National Weather Service predicts partly sunny and relatively cool temperatures (for late August), with highs in the low 80s expected for both Friday evening and Sunday.

All classic car owners are welcomed at both events! Bring your coolers, lawn chairs, and enjoy the variety of cool classic and custom cars.
