Obituary: Evelyn R. Harmon, 84, formerly of Bardstown

Evelyn R. Harmon, 84, of Louisville, died peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, at Lyndon Woods Care and Rehabilitation. She was born in Bardstown, as the former Evelyn Rhodes. She retired from the Census Bureau.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Mary Rhodes; and two brothers, Thomas Ray Rhodes and Kenneth Rhodes.

Survivors include one son, Gwen Young; one brother, Melvin Rhodes; three nieces, Tammy Jackson (Scott), Angela Cross (Kenneth), and Janetta Prussia (Robert); and one nephew Michael Rhodes.

The graveside service is 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, at the Bardstown City Cemetery.

The Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home in Jeffersontown is in charge of arrangements.
