George Henry Cowherd, 82, of Springfield, died at 3:15 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at Springfield Nursing & Rehab.
He is survived by four daughters, Frances Nell (James) Elery of Harrodsburg, Georgia (John) Barnes of Springfield, Rose (Jimmy) Holmes of Anguilla, Miss., and Mary Jo (Ernest) Roston of Lebanon; two sons, George (Manny) Cowherd Jr. of Springfield and James (Tracey) Cowherd of Jacksonville, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial in St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, and 7-9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield.
The Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
