Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, 7:30 a.m. .– The Bardstown Fire Department was called out Monday night at about 11 p.m. for a report of the smell of burning wires at 201 East Stephen Foster Ave. Firefighters traced the source of the smell to an electrical outlet that was compromised. Firefighters disconnected the power to the outlet until an electrician can make repairs. Firefighters were on the scene for about 20 minutes.
