Firefighters called for fuel oil spill in basement of Cox’s Creek home

Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, 7 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Monday night to a reported fuel oil spill in the basement of a home in the 6800 block of Louisville Road. Firefighters were called out at 9:45 p.m. for a report of a spill that originated from a large fuel oil tank. Firefighters helped the homeowner clean up the spill. They were on scene for about two hours.
