Bardstown Fire called to Fern Lea Circle for dryer fire

Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, 7 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Monday afternoon to a reported dryer fire at a residence in the 100 block of Fern Lea Circle. Firefighters were dispatched at 2:02 p.m. When units arrived the fire was contained to the dryer and had not spread. Firefighters put the fire out, removed the dryer, and then used their equipment to remove smoke from the home. One person was treated by Nelson County EMS at the scene for smoke inhalation. Firefighters were on the scene for about 40 minutes.
