Bardstown Fire called to investigate noise that mimicked smoke alarm

Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, 6:20 p.m. — A squealing baby monitor that created a sound like an activated smoke detector was a cause of concern for a resident in the 600 block of Bloomfield Road Sunday evening. The Bardstown Fire Department was called to the home just after 6 p.m. for what was believed to be an active smoke alarm. On investigation, firefighters determined the noise was being generated by a baby monitor.
