Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, 1:11 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to the Nelson County Schools Early Learning Center, 1200 Cardinal Drive, at 12:56 Friday morning for an active smoke detector called in by the alarm company. A school official and firefighters inspected the school and determined the cause was a faulty detector.
