Thursday, July 28, 2011, 2:15 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to Topeka Lane off Mobley Mill in Cox’s Creek for a report of a home’s attached deck on fire. When firefighters arrived the residents had extinguished the fire. Firefighter checked the overhang over the deck for possible extension. The call came in about 1 p.m.
