Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, 10 a.m. — The New Haven Fire Department was called to 541 Park Avenue in New Haven for a house fire at that address at 6:18 Tuesday evening. The Bardstown Fire Department was requested for additional manpower at 7:30 p.m. The fire was reported under control by 8:30 p.m. The Bardstown firefighters helped the New Haven firefighters extinguish the fire and to conduct overhaul of the home. The Bardstown firefighters were on scene for about two hours.
