Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, 2 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to the 900 block of West Broadway about 9:30 Friday evening for a reported apartment fire. By the time firefighters arrived, a neighbor had turned off the gas to a stove in the apartment and the fire was out. Representatives of LG&E and the Bardstown Housing Authority also responded.
