Bardstown firefighters respond to garage fire on Bloomfield Rd.

Tuesday, June 26, 2012, 1:40 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to 4913 Bloomfiled Road for a report of a detached garage on fire about 12:32 Tuesday morning. Firefighters determined the burning garage — containing two vehicles — was close to a mobile home but it did not pose an immediate threat to the home. Firefighters were paged a second time at about 1 a.m. for additional manpower to assist hauling water to the site of the fire. Firefighters were out at the fire scene until 2:40 a.m.
