Bardstown firefighters respond to natural gas leak on Halstead Ave.

Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, 11:30 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to a residence at 115 W. Halstead Ave. or an odor investigation. The caller reported the smell of natural gas in the residence.Firefighters inspected the residence and checked for gas leaks with metering equipment. Firefighters found a small leak near the furnace, and stayed on scene until a gas company representative arrived. The call to Nelson County Dispatch came in about 10:45 p.m. Monday night.
