Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, 2:30 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called about 5:15 p.m. Friday to the 200 block of Engleman Street for a reported possible house fire. The first firefighters on scene reported the fire was burning garbage behind the home. The fire had been extinguished by neighbors with a garden hose. Firefighters checked the exterior home for possible fire spreading into the eaves or wall of the home. Firefighters were on scene for about 35 minutes.
