Bardstown firefighters respond to reported woods fire at park

Monday, April 9, 2012, 4:55 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to the Community Park at the end of East Halstead Avenue for a report of a woods fire. Firefighters responded to the park, and met with a witness who said he stomped the fire out. Firefighters found a burned area in the woods about five feet square and confirmed the fire was extinguished. Firefighters were on scene about 10 minutes.
