Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, 6:15 p.m. — A Nelson County EMS employee was injured Tuesday afternoon when his car ran off the road in the 5000 block of Boston Road and overturned down an embankment. The accident happened just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.
EMS paramedic Ronnie Mudd, 62, of Bardstown, was rescued from his overturned vehicle by members of the Bardstown Fire Department, who used ropes and a stokes basket to bring the victim up the embankment to a waiting EMS ambulance. He was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
