Bardstown Middle School evacuated after fire alarm sounds

Monday, April 30, 2012, 8:30 a.m. — Barstown Middle School was evacuated at 8:16 Monday morning when the building’s fire alarm sounded. The Bardstown Fire Department responded to the school, located at 410 North Fifth St. Firefighters and building personnel searched the building but found no reason for the alarm. The alarm was reset and the alarm company will be contacted to check the system. Firefighters were on scene at the school for about 10 minutes.
