Bardstown woman taken to hospital after bad reaction to sleeping pill

Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, 12:50 a.m. — Nelson County EMS responded to the 100 block of Kentucky Avenue about 12:20 Monday morning for a woman who had taken a sleeping pill and was in an altered state of consciousness. The husband of the 72-year-old woman told first-responders his wife had taken one-half an Ambien and she now seemed to be confused. The woman was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment.
